FAQs

What is the difference between a dual and single motor?

single motor chair means that as you raise the foot section up the back will recline automatically.  A dual motor is where you have individual motors that control the head compared to the foot, so that you can watch TV with your feet up. You can watch the video to find out more.

Do you set the chair up in the room of choice and is it included in the price?

Yes. Unless it is a fast delivery (within 7-10 Days) as this cost an extra £175.

Laybrook will deliver and set the chair up in the room of your choice, give you a full demonstration on how the chair works and answer any questions you may have. We can take the packaging away and will dispose of it responsibly (cardboard recycled, plastic recycled).

What sizes do the chairs come in?

Most chairs come in a standard sizes (small, medium and large) but a made to measure service is also available. Please ring 01869 255400 for further details.

Can you alter the height or width of the chair?

Yes. The height and width and depth of the seat are the most important measurements and can be changed with the made to measure service.

Can you deliver overseas?

Yes. The chair will be shipped at your expense but we can organise this for you.

How soon can you deliver our chair?

Delivery is generally 17-21 days (Scotland up-to 30 days). We can deliver within 7 days for those who have family coming out of hospital or those of you just in a hurry, this costs an extra £175 as we may have to reorganise deliveries and or do a special trip for that particular delivery.

What happens if I do not like the chair?

Some chairs are done on a 7 day full money back guarantee (standard chairs) a full refund will be given unless it has been soiled or damaged in any way. On all standard chairs If you let us know within 7 days of delivery we will only charge you for the delivery and collection of the chair £350 and you will receive a refund of the outstanding monies within 7days of collection as long as the chair has not been soiled or damaged in any way. All bespoke, made to measure and special order chairs are non returnable. Please keep all packaging if returning any chairs as further charges may incur.

Do I have to pay VAT?

If you have a chronic medical condition (i.e. ongoing that is not likely to get better in the near future) NO. All the prices quoted are exclusive of VAT this is because if you are looking for one of these chairs you probably have a qualifying condition to check (click here) or talk to a representative on the telephone if you are unsure or you can talk to your local VAT office we will gladly give you the telephone number.

What happens if I find I have ordered the wrong size chair or it is the wrong height?

Example: I have ordered a small chair and when it has been delivered you realise you need a large chair.

It is crucial you measure the size of the chair before ordering (seat height, width and depth) as a charge of £175 will be made to collect, dismantle and reassemble a new chair this must be done within the 7 days.

Do your chairs rise you out of the chair?
